Smt. Naniben, a sweeper of D-Ward, Solid Waste Management Department of BMC, was doing cleaning work when she noticed a packet in the trash containing Rs 11500 cash and important personal documents (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, ATM Card). Naniben, in complete honesty, deposited the wallet with her officer, Shri Sunil Makwana.
Sunil Makwana and his colleagues then called the owner of the packet using the address and contact information on the Aadhaar card, called him to BMC (RS Nimkar Chowky), and handed over the recovered packet to him. We applaud Smt. Naniben and her officers’ honesty, as they could have pocketed the money. Smt, Naniben was felicitated for the honesty by the BMC officers and her
