The Club sponsored a computer lab at a cost of approx Rs 8 Lakhs with 15 computers and 2 printers at Y.B. Dode School, Mulund East, seen in the picture are Rotary Club President Jayen Mehta, Project Director Dilip Shah ,Vice President Pradip Shah, Hitesh Fozdar.

Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden along with other Clubs conducted Blood Donation Camp at the Dadar Railway Station as seen in the photo are President Jayen Mehta and Medical Director Paresh Panchmatiya.

Blood donation is the process of voluntarily giving blood that can be used for transfusions. It is required mostly in emergencies. Healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 75 who meet the eligibility criteria can donate blood. The procedure is generally safe and painless. 

March 2024

The Club arranged a one-day pulse polio vaccine distribution campaign on Sunday, March 3,  beginning at 8 am. 

Around 140 college students and volunteers participated in this round, giving two drops of the all important polio vaccination to all children aged 0 to 5. During this round, they worked from 8 am to 5 pm.

 

The Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden also provided lunch boxes to college students and volunteers so they could work without difficulty. They also required an induction gas for hot water in their office on a daily basis. The project was successfully finished, with excellent feedback. Total cost – approximately Rs 30000.  (By Rtn. The Club hosted a heartwarming Funfair organized for the cancer patients at St. Jude India ChildCare Centres. Is was a memorable event for the 180 beneficiaries who witnessed joy, laughter, and a sense of community as the children were engaged in games, art, and shared meals. The event was possible with the dedication of their well-wisher. In a philanthropic effort, members of the Club distributed shirts, sarees, and food packs to the sweepers at Brihan Mumbai Sweepers Mandal in Zaveri Bazar. The shirts were funded by club members, sarees and food packs were provided. Project was executed by members along with dignitaries from Zaveri Bazar.
