One stormy, spooky night
I SAW a lonely hut
And to my delight
It resembled a chocolate doughnut
One stormy, spooky night
I FELT the drizzle of rain
A firefly flew by bright
While some raindrops trickled down the
window pane
One stormy, spooky night
I HEARD the wind howling
In fear I drank some Sprite
Spilling it all over a book by J.K. Rowling
One stormy, spooky night
I TOUCHED the sharp edge of a vampire fang
I mustered my might
Pretending to be a part of a vampire gang
One stormy, spooky night
I TASTED a monster’s brain
I took another bite
But felt it was just too bland and plain
Tha t s t o rmy, spo oky night, a ll my
senses—what I saw, felt, heard, touched, and
tasted—merged into one unforgettable
mystery.”
This poem was created by Dhruvi Patel ( an IB
student) and Devangi Jhaveri. We both
enjoyed exploring all 5 senses on a stormy,
spooky night, while keeping our humour
intact.
Devangi Jhaveri is a private syllabus tutor. She
conducts storytelling, English language
strengthening skills, art, gk sessions for kids
too.
