Update on the parking issueoutside Hanging Gardens

The Hanging Garden walkers are facing parking issues outside both the Gardens on B.G. Kher Marg (Ridge Road).
This was reported in our last issue with a request by local residents to authorities to resolve this issue.
The local residents & walkers are not happy with the decision by the Trafc authorities to implement a ‘No Parking’ regulation outside P.M. Garden and K.N. Park along both sides of B.G. Kher Marg. They say the authorities have put up barriers on one side of the road which is very risky.
The walkers approached our local MLA Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha who understood the issue and likewise has written a letter to the Joint Commissioner of Police (Trafc) to put speed breakers and allow car parking outside the Gardens
from 6 to 9.30 in the morning and from 5 to 8 in the evening.

One senior citizen walker who regularly visits the garden in the morning said, “It is not possible for me to walk from my home to the Garden because of the slope, distance, extreme risk of high speed buses and vehicles, and no footpath; I have to arrive in my car.” Local residents are hoping for an early resolution, with the expectation that Shri Lodha’s letter to Jt. CP will provide them respite. (By concerned local residents and walkers of Hanging Gardens).
