In a significant step towards nurturing emotional health alongside academic growth, the Little Flower of Jesus School has introduced a structured counseling program in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview and Sisters Living Works.
Initiated under the leadership of Rtn. Ms. Rajni Barasia and supported by Principal Ms. Manasi Bhole, the program aims to provide a safe and supportive space for students to express their concerns and build emotional resilience.
A team of trained psychologists now conducts weekly sessions through a dedicated counseling cell on campus. These sessions focus on helping students manage anxiety, overcome learning difficulties, and address behavioural challenges in a guided and confidential setting.
Before commencing the student sessions, a special training workshop was organised for teachers. Led by the Rotary Club, this workshop equipped educators with the skills to identify early signs of emotional distress and offer timely support to children in need.
The impact of this initiative has already begun to show promising results. Students are demonstrating improved self-awareness, greater participation in class, and better coping strategies when faced with stress or peer pressure.
Little Flower of Jesus School expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview for their thoughtful intervention and steadfast commitment to the mental wellness of our students. This collaboration marks an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to create a compassionate, inclusive, and emotionally secure learning environment. (pics below)
