The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony and Blessings by Priest for the auspicious start to construction of the redevelopment of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital was performed on 8th September, 2023. The hospital has always welcomed people from all communities, regardless of caste, creed, or economic status. The ceremony was reflective of this as seen in the pictures. Mrs Anita Garware, member of SEH Advisory Committee, attended the ceremony.
Sangita and Sajan Jindal – the donors are taking very personal interest to make St Elizabeth’s Hospital the best neighbourhood hospital. Management will continue to be with the Sister’s of The Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross as before.
The A wing is functional with 47 beds, plus all other facilities like 3 Beds ICU, 4 Beds NICU, Dialysis unit, Emergency, Operation Theater , Laboratory, Physiotherapy, Blood Storage etc. “The hospital is not sold but being redeveloped” clarified Sister Sarla Macwan, Executive Director of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
This is a positive development for our neighbourhood as our residents will now have access to excellent medical facilities including emergency care when required.
