Experience the future of rehabilitation with Aquatic therapy

Personalised, one on one aquatic therapy and advanced physiotherapy at Horizon Physio,  Kemps Corner. If knee pain, arthritis, back pain or recovery after surgery has made walking or exercising difficult, rehabilitation doesn’t always have to begin on land. Sometimes, the best place to start is in water. Aquatic Therapy, also known as Hydrotherapy is an advanced form of physiotherapy performed in a specially designed therapeutic pool under the guidance of a qualified physiotherapist.
Benefits of exercise in water: – The natural buoyancy of water supports your body weight by reducing stress on painful joints by nearly 70% while allowing you to move freely and with significantly less discomfort.
– The gentle resistance of water helps improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility and overall confidence in movement.
– Aquatic Therapy is especially beneficial for individuals with arthritis, chronic knee or back pain, sports injuries, ligament injuries, joint replacement surgeries, fractures, balance disorders and anyone who finds exercising on land painful or difficult. By reducing pain during movement, patients are often able to begin rehabilitation earlier and progress more comfortably.
At Horizon Physio, located at Kemps Corner, we are proud to offer one of South Mumbai’s few dedicated one on one Aquatic Therapy programmes. Every session is conducted by a qualified physiotherapist and is individually tailored after a comprehensive assessment. Unlike generic pool exercises, our programmes combine aquatic therapy with land based physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, dry needling and targeted rehabilitation exercises to help patients recover safely, regain mobility and return to the activities they enjoy. The vision of Dr. Utsav was to create a holistic space and offer an integrated land and water based physiotherapy. I am Dr. Utsav Shah, a Sports & Orthopaedic Physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. After completing advanced training in Australia, I became a certied Clinical Pilates instructor and Aquatherapist. I have had the privilege of working as a physio with Punjab Kings in the IPL and supporting athletes at the Tata Mumbai Marathon, experiences that have reinforced my commitment to evidence based and personalised rehabilitation.
