Reverse your Universe

Tushar Prabhoo June 27, 2023 3 minutes read

When we say aging it’s nothing but ‘we are living in time’. Our experience of time, our chase in time, our pull and push for achievements, our accomplishments in time, our struggles in time to remain afloat; or our struggles to climb the ladder in time. Trying to stay atop and if we do get there, balance on the top against time. All such things have a toll on us.

The forces which literally degenerate and disintegrate us are the forces of entropy which is the universal tendency of orderliness breaking into disorderliness- time, matter, space, height, motion, mass, causation, and effect. This can be countered by the ashtangas – 8 limbs of yoga: yama (social code), niyama (personal conduct), asana (postures), pranayama (regulating breathing), pratyahara (controlling the senses), dharna (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (universal consciousness).

Remember time in Sanskrit is called Kaal. Death in Sanskrit is also called kaal. History in Sanskrit is also called kaal. So time can make your history. Time is responsible for reducing you into nothingness. After the disintegration of your being through the forces of entropy.

Timelessness is the key to a meaningful life – living in the center not on the circumference because the circumference is constantly moving and this movement causes all kinds of discomfort, dis-ease, dis-order, dis-orientation, de-generation, dis-integration, and death. Centre which is in anand (bliss) can make you timeless.

Life is seldom a lake; it is more an ocean, constantly in motion. And these motions are unstable and not steady in nature. The ups and downs of waves can jostle you, toss you, and turn you around upside down. The art of becoming timeless is to be in a meditative frame of mind. Being centered and surfing the waves of life. ….. surf through the circles of life. Vairagya/contentment makes you timeless and the aspect of death is the only certainty. Struggling to fight death can take you closer to it. The whole effortless life in flow and rhythm, the synchronicity can make you timeless. It can give you longevity, immortality, invincibility, and vitality. This philosophy is the driving force for me. It keeps me rooted and motivated. The deeper we dive into the wisdom of mindlessness, the more peaceful our demeanor can be. Age is just a number. We are the sum of experiences not just from the time of our birth or previous births but from the time of existence itself.
