Malabar Hill resident and Lions International, District 3231 A1’s Special Olympics Chairperson, Lion Hemanth S. Jain, organized the 26th Special Olympics Sports Tournament for 1,350 special children from 30 special schools at PDP, Nepean Sea Road, Mumbai, on January 3, 2025. Additionally, a Swimming Tournament for special children was held at the Bombay YMCA Swimming Pool in Agripada, Mumbai, on January 13, 2025.
The events aimed to empower special children to develop their unique skills and talents. Alongwith general public, many parents and relatives of participants, the tournament was graced by Lion Club’s chief guest, their District Governor Viraf Mistry. Guest of honour, their Vice District Governors Feroze Katrak and Pawan Kumar Agarwal, District Advisor and PIO Ravindra Kadel, Chief Philanthropist Principal District PRO Percy Master, and Micro Pearl Activities Naresh Shah. Extended Micro Members Pramod Shah and Iqbal Bearingwala, Special Olympics Convenor Krishnakant Udeshi, and many Lion Members and sponsors.
