‘Yoga for young minds’ is based on the Std. X, ICSE Yoga curriculum, and is a culmination of the lessons gained during the course of two decades of Anahita Sanjana’s teaching experience. This book makes the esoteric concepts of yoga available to young minds in contemporary terms they can relate to, imbibe, and use to build a better relationship with themselves, their friends and their parents. It gives them tools to access an inner resilience and deep-seated peace which can help them retain their mental and emotional balance during challenging situations in life. Anahita Sanjana, deeply regrets that yoga was not a part her school education and many adults have expressed a similar regret. This book can be an effective remedy for that. Adults can self-study yoga, as accompanying video tutorials have been uploaded on the chapters in this book.

The book starts with the ‘Author’s note’ followed by ‘With Gratitude’ and the Foreword written by Jehangir Palkhiwala (Anahita Sanjana’s Yoga teacher) and by Dr Friyana Pardiwala, Principal of J.B. Petit School. In the Author’s note Anahita Sanjana writes ‘This book is a gift of love to all the past, present and future ‘Sun-eyed children’ …

May all those who use this resource find access to the life-giving peace and joy within. The book by has 3 sections, namely – ‘Rishi Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra’, ‘Philosophies’ and ‘Sages of India’ ending with Students testimonials. The book is published by AuroPublications. You can buy the book on https://auropublications.org/books/yoga-for young-minds-by-anahita-sanjana/ or on Amazon for Rs 360.

Anahita Sanjana, a TEDx speaker, has been awarded the ‘Outstanding Educator’ award by the University if Chicago for her impact on teenagers in Mumbai through Yoga. Ms. Sanjana, as she is lovingly called by her students, was introduced to the Sri Aurobindo Society in 1997, and began teaching yoga shortly after that in 1998.
