The Friends Of Tribals Society (FTS) Annual Function was celebrated on January 10, 2025, with great enthusiasm, in the presence of 950 dignitaries. The program commenced with the screening of the Ekal film, which showcased the functioning of the FTS One-Teacher Schools in tribal areas and provided a glimpse into the fivefold education imparted to the children. Their mission, which started over thirty years ago, is a testament to reliability and dedication. It has successfully reached out to the most deprived tribal and rural brethren in the remotest villages of India.
Ekal Vidyalaya — One Teacher Schools’ — ensures functional literacy among all children. This volunteer-driven movement has become one of the most significant initiatives in India.They operate 80,000 One-Teacher Schools across India, reaching 2.2 million children in some of the most remote regions. Each Ekal Vidyalaya operates on an annual budget of just Rs. 30,000, and donation go directly towards providing education to children otherwise deprived of such opportunities.
The Chief guests, Mr Anoop Mehta (Managing Director of Mohit Diamonds) and Mr Madhusudan Agarwal (Vice Chairman of Ajanta Pharma), were invited to grace the occasion. They promised to continue support.
Shri Jitu bhai Bhansali organized an excellent and successful musical evening. Kavita Murti and the team sang meticulously selected lively and rocking songs. The evening was filled with joy and laughter, and the audience, sang the songs along with singer Kavita Murti, thoroughly enjoyed the musical performances until the end, which celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities.
Shrigopal ji Pachisia, Vice President, Ghanshyam ji Mundra, Gagan ji Baya, and others made the event a success through teamwork. Shri Ramvilas Ji Maheshwari inaugurated souvenir publication. (Members of Mahila Samiti in the picture below).
