IMC announces new office bearers for 2025-26

Ms. Sunita Ramnathkar as President (Elect) and Mr. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan as Vice President (Elect)

 Ms. Sunita Ramnathkar, who is currently serving as Vice President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMC), has been elected as the new President for the year 2025–26. Mr. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan has been elected as the Vice-President, IMC for the same term. Ms. Ramnathkar will formally take over her duties as the President, IMC at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chamber to be held in July 2025. 

Upon receiving the honour as the President-Elect, Ms. Sunita Ramnathakar said; “It is with immense gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility that I take on the responsibility of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the year 2025 2026. I
am truly honoured to be the 3rd woman to hold this position in the 117-year history of this Prestigious Institution. As we step into the era of rapid Technology advances & AI, I aim to integrate tech driven solutions across our activities ensuring that IMC remains a forward- thinking body and going on to fulfil our government’s vision of a Viksit Bharat in years to come.”

Mrs. Sunita Ajay Ramnathkar is born in 1954, and did her schooling from The Cathedral and John Connon School and pursued a degree in Chemistry from Elphinstone College and further acquired a degree in Mass Communication.She is a Partner at Mitchell Group LLC, USA, headquartered in Miami. In 1981, she was one of the Founders of ‘Fem Care Pharma Ltd.’ with her IITan brother. In a subcontinent obsessed with fair skin, they spun a tale of success in a span of almost 30 years and became synonymous to beauty in every household. 
In 2008, they sold FEM to the DABUR group and Mrs Ramnathkar spread her wings internationally by acquiring a stake in ‘Mitchell USA’. She is remembered as a pioneer in the facial beauty segment in India.

Upon receiving the honour as a Vice-President-Elect, Prof. Mahendra Kumar Chouhan said; “I feel privileged to have been elected to the coveted position of Vice President of IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry. While I know that it is a prestigious position but at the same time, I am also mindful of the fact that this is an onerous responsibility and offers me a great opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the mission of IMC and make difference to our members in particular and all other stakeholders at large! I will strive to do my very best to contribute to this great institution in its journey to make India “Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Prof. Mahendra Chouhan is a Science graduate and an MBA with specialisation in Finance and holds a certificate on Governing the Corporation: Global Perspectives in the Indian Context from the
Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Mr. Chouhan also
holds a certicate by Global Corporate Governance Forum, IFC – World Bank Group, as Certified Trainer for Board of Directors. Prof. Chouhan is widely traveled to several continents and a prolific speaker and is regularly invited to deliver keynote addresses across the globe.
As an institution builder, he is Chairman of Mahendra & Young Knowledge Foundation and Vice Chairman – Global Advisory
Board, Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability. Prof Chouhan is Founding Dean – Mervyn King Academy for Sustainable Development in Asia.

As an academician, Prof. Chouhan is a Distinguished professor, Executive Education, at IIM-Mumbai, and visiting faculty at other B-Schools like, Jamanlal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, International Law school at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. He has also taught at IIT Mumbai, Shailesh J
Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). Prof. Chouhan has been a regular guest faculty for the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India for several Director Training programmes across India.
