Hanging Garden Walkers celebrated Independence Day in the garden with great passion, despite the fact that it was raining. The regular walkers gathered in large numbers, as seen in the picture. Our Naru Kaka (97 years old) captained the senior citizen team. Everyone present passionately sung our national anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana’. All walkers expressed their thanks to the ‘Bombay Harmonica Group’, who played beautiful patriotic tunes on the mouth organ and flute in honour of the occasion.
On Sunday, July 28, 2024, nine parents from St. Teresa’s Parents Group who are also regular Hanging Garden walkers took part in the “Rotary Rain Run” in Goa. All of them succeeded. Some ran 21 kms (half marathon), while others ran 10 kms runs. Fitness passion led these friends to Goa. This Parent’s Group will now also be known as St. Teresa’s Marathon Group. Wishing them more successful marathons!
