AYURVEDA –For Longevity Immunity Vitality

This season may come with water borne and air borne diseases plus the pollution has numerous negative impacts on your health, leading to weak immunity. Ayurveda, India’s traditional medical system, includes a number of concepts and practises that might help strengthen the immune system and lessen vulnerability to respiratory infections. The first ayurvedic principle would be that of Dinacharya (daily regimen) followed by Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), Sadvrtta (what to do and what not), and Nidra (sleep) emphasise the importance of a healthy regimen in the preven tion and control of numerous ailments. The Dinacharya – day’s discipline has to be in order. Start with gratitude to the deity, yoga, meditation, chanting, walking, mingling with nature. In a days discipline, there would be Ahar (food), Vihaar (lifestyle), Vishram (rest) and Aushadh (rem edy/treatment)

Ayurveda emphasises seasonally modifying your lifestyle, diet, and daily routine. This assists the body in adapting to environ mental changes and remaining balanced. Ayurveda emphasises a sattvic diet that is well-balanced and contains fresh, seasonal, regional and organic foods. A diet high in fruits, dry fruits, vegetables, herbs, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy products can supply the nutrients needed to maintain a strong immune system. The way of eating is being vegetarian and eating minimalistic and light, eating wholesome foods that are not rened, and most importantly, eating simple cooked food and drinking clean water. Vitamin C rich foods like amla, lemon, orange, peppers, tomatoes, etc are shown to reduce the risk and duration of respiratory infections. 

Ayurvedic rasayanas are revitalising medicines that attempt to increase longevity and immunity. Chyawanprash is a well known rasayana that might help boost immunity. Shitopaladi as a treatment stands out for respiratory health. Sipping on ginger tea can make your immunity and hence, lungs stronger too. Consuming a paste of turmeric, black pepper, dry ginger, cinnamon helps to keep the throat and lungs clear as it is excellent for releasing mucus congestion. Honey aids in lung cleansing because of its numerous benefits such as antioxidants, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory qualities. Remember, foods can cleanse you, foods can regulate you and foods can fortify you. Such kind of clean foods can totally transform your life, do magic, create alchemy. Regular yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) can assist improve lung function and respiratory health by improving the lung muscle health. It also helps to reduce stress, which can weaken the immune system. Pranayama like Bhastrika and Anulom Vilom are respiratory therapies that help prevent respiratory infections. Also, long exhalation and deep breathing – simple, soft and gentle, is good too. It would be the yoga that doesn’t kill you, the yoga that increases the life force within you. Taking steam, doing nasyam (instilling nasal drops) using sesame oil helps cleanse the lungs as well. Ayurveda emphasises the necessity of getting enough rest and sticking to a regular sleep routine. Sleeping well allows the body to heal and rejuvenate, which is necessary for a strong immune system. Toxins (ama), according to Ayurveda, can build in the body and impair immunity.

 Panchakarma is an Ayurvedic cleansing therapy that helps the body eliminate poisons. Ayurveda is therapeutic in every understanding and aspect of it. Ayurveda is actually a way of life and it is a philosophy and science. With human compliance, Ayurveda can give you longevity, immunity, vitality. Ayurveda cleanses you, regulates you, fortifies you. Ayurveda gets you naturalized, Mankind gets you Mickeymized.
