Words said-Kids,are u running out of me?Don’t worry! I have a friend who will guide you and it’s called ART
Art is illustrating an emotion or an idea,in a way WORDS CAN’T! It comes in various forms such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, installations.
Art makes a kid’s world colourful. It boosts a child’s creativity. Kids learn to comprehend where objects are in space thus leading to a development in his visual spatial skills. It reduces social isolation and anxiety. It aids in motor skills development. Scribbling is a precursor for writing. Art improves a child’s academic performance.
Unity is strength. Through art, kids learn to collaborate with each other, become responsible, aim at similar goals while creating projects. They get access to other cultures and connect with the world.
Art appreciation, Let’s motivate kids to Attend art fests, participate in art competitions, visit art galleries and museums.
Last but not the least let’s not forget the ROLE of a GOOD ART TEACHER in a child’s life. The word ROLE reminds me of the film TAARE ZAMEEN PAR. Ishaan a 8 year old boy was sent to a hostel due to poor academic performance. His new ART TEACHER suspected him to be dyslexic. However that didn’t matter. The teacher discovered Ishaan’s artistic skills and tapped his utmost potential , transforming him from a grumpy diffident boy to a cheerful confident one.
This is the powerful impact of art on kids
Ending this article with an interesting quote from Jackson Pollock
