Paddle Pickle Injuries Hair Loss.

The problem may not be your sport. It may be your recovery, absorption and gut health. Last month, a 32-year-old client walked into a HappyGut Consult feeling frustrated  “I play paddle four times a week. I’m fitter than ever, but why am I constantly dealing with shoulder pain, tight calves, poor recovery and thinning hair?”
It’s a question we’re hearing more often. Paddle and pickleball are exploding in popularity because they offer the perfect mix of fitness, competition and social connection. But there is a hidden problem. Many people are playing more sport than their bodies are actually prepared to recover from. Fitness is not doing more and more of something. True fitness is balance. The body doesn’t become stronger during exercise. It becomes stronger during recovery. Here are three simple daily rituals we recommended.

Ritual 1: Stretch Before You Chase the Ball, Most injuries don’t happen because we’re weak. They happen because we’re tight. Just 10 minutes of daily mobility and stretching can improve flexibility, joint stability and reaction time. Think of it as maintenance for your muscles, tendons and ligaments. The best athletes in the world never skip the basics.
Ritual 2: Feed Your Gut Flora Your gut is home to trillions of bacteria that influence nutrient absorption, immunity, inflammation and recovery. A body can only recover from what it can absorb. When playing any sport, eating the right foods matters—but absorbing those nutrients
matters even more. We wanted something simple, convenient and effective. So our client began each morning with HappyGut Goli in warm water. Made from wholefood prebiotic herbs, spices and condiments, it is vegan, 100% natural and designed to support digestive health and a healthier gut microbiome. Better gut flora often means better absorption of the nutrients your muscles, joints and tissues need to recover and perform.
Ritual 3: Recover With Bioavailable Nutrition, Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has often spoken about the importance of nutrition and a plant-forward approach to performance. The goal isn’t simply consuming more protein—it’s absorbing and utilising it effectively. A diet rich in quality plant protein is naturally accompanied by fibre, supporting recovery while being gentler on digestion.
For our client, we also added HappyGut Company’s Hair Biotin. Frequent sweating, nutritional gaps and physical stress can contribute to weaker hair follicles. One bite a day of nutrient- ense wholefoods helped support both recovery and healthier hair.
Three simple rituals.
Stretch daily, Support your gut, Recover intelligently. Because winning on the court starts long
before the first serve. What do you say ?
