Sensei Roshni Gaur

A journey that began with hesitation 33 years before … and transformed into  a lifetime of strength, discipline, and purpose. I started as a shy girl who  never imagined stepping into the world of sports. Karate, at that time, felt completely out of place for me. But sometimes, the paths we resist the most shape us the strongest.  Thanks to my parents, I took that first step & everything changed.  On day one itself, my fears began to fade. I was welcomed with warmth and guided with care by my mentor, Sensei Jayesh Somaiya. That environment didn’t just teach me Karate – it gave me confidence I never knew I had.

The journey wasn’t easy. I faced physical challenges, demanding training sessions, and moments of doubt. But what kept me going was the belief my Sensei had in me – sometimes even more than I had in myself. That belief built my resilience and my willpower. In the dojo, there was no ‘girl’ or ‘boy’ only students. We trained equally, pushed equally & grew equally. That equality gave us a powerful realization: Strength is not about muscles – it’s about mindset. A defining chapter of my journey began under the guidance of my Chief Instructor,  Kyoshi Sensei Rajesh Thakkar. From him, I learned lessons that extend far beyond Karate – discipline, integrity, and above all, humility. Humility keeps you grounded no matter how high you rise.
Today, Sensei Roshni Gaur is actively shaping the next generation by conducting regular Karate classes at Fellowship School, Manav Mandir School, and Master Tutorial School – instilling not just self-defense skills, but confidence, discipline, and strong values in her students.
Today, when people talk about learning Karate, I feel a deep sense of purpose. Because for me, Karate is not just a skill – it’s a way of life. And to every woman out there, I say: Don’t wait for the “right time.” Create it. Because your time is NOW. What truly defines a woman’s strength? It’s not just physical power – It’s the courage to rise after every fall – Emotional resilience in the face of challenges – The ability to think, lead, and inspire – The power to adapt, evolve, and keep moving forward. When women grow stronger, families grow stronger – and society thrives. “When women rise, society thrives.” Today, as a 4th Dan Black Belt and an Instructor, my greatest joy is not just in what I have achieved – but in what I can pass on. Guiding my students, shaping confident individuals, and helping them discover their inner strength—that is my true achievements.
