5th Degree Black Belt – Goju-Ryu Karate
My journey in karate began at the age of 15, inspired and guided by my grandfather. What started as a passion for competition gradually transformed into a lifelong dedication to the traditional values and philosophy of Goju-Ryu karate.
For over four decades, I have devoted myself to practicing, preserving, and promoting this noble art while guiding and inspiring a growing community of martial artists. I remain deeply grateful to my Guru, Sensei Rajesh L. Thakkar (7th Degree Black Belt), Chief Instructor, RTKA India, whose wisdom, guidance, and belief have been the foundation of my martial arts journey.. As Chief Instructor of Gujarat RTKA India and a 5th Degree Belt, I have had the honour of representing karate at District, State, National, and International levels, earning championship titles and recognition throughout my career. I have participated in and contributed to many karate camps, seminars, workshops, and tournaments worldwide.
Since 1996, my martial arts journey has taken me to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Okinawa (Japan), the UAE, Canada, and various countries across Europe. My approach to teaching is built on discipline, clarity, and purpose. Through decades of mat experience and studies in talent development and elite training, I strive to develop not only technically skilled martial artists but also individuals with condence, character, and integrity.
Beyond the dojo, I believe karate has a greater responsibility to serve society. I have dedicated myself to teaching self-defence skills in schools, colleges, and universities, and have had the privilege of providing specialized tactical training to the Gujarat Police Force.
Karate is an endless journey of learning and self-improvement. Through the Winter Karate Training Gasshuku-2026 and future initiatives, I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with the next generation while continuing to preserve the invaluable legacy of the great Masters of karate.
For me, karate is not just a sport—it is a way of life, a path of discipline, and a lifelong mission to create better martial artists and better human beings.
