3rd Degree Black Belt

sui

My Journey in Karate began in June 1987, when I joined a  bunch of friends to learn Karate under the guidance of Sensei Jayesh Somaiya. I joined Karate with the aim of selfdefence, and that decision became the begenning of a life long journey in the martial arts in the martial art.
Years of consistent training, learning and perseverance have kept me connected to the RTKA family since 1987 until now.. Karate has shaped my life, built my character and taught me discipline, respect, humility and never give up attitude.  A significant milestone in my journey came when I achieved my 3rd Degree Black Belt on 16 January 1999. My speciality in Karate is Kumite, where I was the Kumite Champion in RTKA continuously  for 3 to 4 years.

Under the guidance of Sensei Rajesh Thakkar and Sensei Jayesh Somaiya, I started teaching Karate when I was a Brown Belt. Their guidance and support gave me the confidence to share my knowledge and contribute to the growth of my students. My message, based on my experience, is to learn the real meaning of martial art as the was it is. I believe in training traditional Karate, which I like the most and which I feel preserves the true spirit of the art.
